About the artwork

2020, Spain

As we build relationships, we become familiar with the other person, tied by shared experiences, forever connected in thoughts and memories. When we are apart, feelings of eager anticipation grow and when the moment of sweet embrace finally arrives, the connection intensifies.
The two parts of the photo are two people. One wave is out of focus because we do not fully know what the other person is feeling at that moment, but still our world’s meet.
I felt this state especially vividly in the beginning of the pandemic, back in 2020. Once when I was to travel to London to visit some old friends, and again when I was to fly to my mother's birthday. Things didn’t go as planned and I live in anticipation of our next rendezvous.

Limited edition of 5 copies in 100 x 150 cm

High-quality fine art print with white borders.
Fineart paper BT270 Baryt is a fibre based basis with a smooth, silky surface that has the typical characteristics of classical barite paper. The triple coating ensures razor-sharp prints, with a lot of contrast. With this unique quality, it is just as suitable for colour as it is for b/w reproductions. The BT270 paper is 100% free of acids and therefore very resistant to ageing. It has the classical look and feel of a traditional silver halide barite paper.

Signed & numbered by the artist. Comes with a signed & numbered Certificate of Authenticity, and an additional card with details to be affixed to the back when framed. Highly recommended to frame the artwork using museum glass.
